Property information

When you stay in Lake Natron Maasai guesthouse you will experience the unique surroundings of Lake Natron. With a view to the lake and Oldonyo Lengai (mountain of God for the Maasai people) the guesthouse is located on an unique spot in the area. In our guesthouse you may relax, take a 'dip' in our swimming pool or hangout in the hammack to read. Furthermore you can easily walk to the village and do some hikes starting at the guesthouse. In the neighborhood you can visit the waterfalls and the lake. Expirience the local Maasai culture is also possible. Roko is an experienced wild life guide and can show you the beauty of Lake Natron.

Neighbourhood information

Lake Natron is a conservation area so there is a gate fee (35USDpp) and a TAWA fee (Tanzania Wilflife Authority) (29,50USD pppd) when you enter the area. Also the cultural organization (CBO) charge a fee when you want to hike to the waterfalls, visit Lake Natron or go to the footprint. For 20USD per person you can do the three together .Lake Natron Maasai guesthouse is situated in a remote Maasai area, with the possibilities of learning about the traditional life of Maasai families. Nature is overwhelming, sometimes very hot but there are vans in the rooms of the guesthouse. Visiting Lake Natron is possibly by walk, even. Climbing the volcano is an oppurtunity and exploring small Serengeti and 1-night stay at the hot springs. Here you feel yourself at the end of the world.
