Elite Backpackers is a family run backpackers in Masaka Town, in southwestern Uganda. David Ssemwogerere, Hellen Mbabazi and and their adorable son, Dalvin, set out to fill a gap in the accommodation market, in Masaka Town, by providing backpacker style accomodation for the budget conscious. They are determined to provide super friendly staff in a clean and welcoming African style environment for tourists and international volunteers. At the same time, this dynamic couple are also looking to help many different local organisations and Ugandans.

We have relationships with a number of interesting communities. We can simply take you walking through the local villages seeing the homesteads and people, or you might like to see traditional activities being carried out. For example, making bark cloth, local brew, woven baskets, paper beads, making local meals or simple gardening. The opportunity is there for you to learn about all of these traditional skills and take part in these activities if you wish. We can arrange safari packages to one of the following national parks • Lake Mburu National Park renowned for Zebras and over 350 bird species. • Queen Elizabeth National Park on the shores of Lake Edwards and Gorge for a wide variety of animals such as elephant, lion, impala and baboons, while the boat cruise on the chanel will find hippos,crocodile and abundance of birdlife. • Murchison Falls National Park, Game drives through this park will spot many giraffe, elephants, lions and a variety of dear. The highlight of visiting Murchison Falls National Park is definitely the amazing water fall.
