This unique loft is above a barn on a small horse ranch. Horses can be viewed from the back deck of loft and there are accommodations for your horses, should you choose to bring them. The loft is a newer build and has all the amenities with a well stocked kitchen. It is tastefully decorated with country feel! It has an organic hybrid queen mattress with soft linens, for a good nights sleep. The room is very well insulated so you will be able to rest undisturbed! We have many animals here with horses, dogs, cats, goats, chickens, 2 mini horse mares and a 2 mini Zebu cows. The chickens will provide you with fresh eggs, when the ladies are laying! Feel free to stroll around the ranch and meet the animals! Snacks for them can be found in the barn on the shelf below the stairs. There are 3 outside livestock guard dogs that will be the first to greet you. They LOVE people and generally sleep all day and watch the ranch at night! Feel free to interact with the goats and horses…they love apples and carrots! just don't feed the baby horses, as they can choke. Take the minis out for a walk if you'd like. This is a great place to enjoy the quiet country life, but also has miles of trails for hiking, biking, riding and river rafting if you’re more adventurous!

My name is Pam and I just fully retired at the end of 2019 after 33 years being a certified nurse midwife. I have been hosting guests now for 6 years. I am always available in person or by phone should you have any questions or requests! However if you want your privacy, I do respect that! I love the ranch life and have met many wonderful guests!

This is the Sierra Nevada foothills that is known as “the gold country”! There are several small gold rush towns close by where you can learn more about that era! My ranch is a few minutes from Cool (seriously that’s the name of the main town!) where there is a great grocery market and several restaurants, bars, pharmacy, gym and a few shops. One of my favorite places is next to the market and called Beerwrks. They make beer and also some awesome sushi! Also from the ranch you can walk out the walk through gate and go right to the next entrance which is an old Gold Rush cemetery where you can explore the many very old headstones. We are lucky to have miles and miles of trails up here. You can take in the fantastic river views and beautiful sights!
