The space: two bedroom, two bath home with two large living rooms, a full kitchen, laundry space and deck on almost a 1/2 acre with hot tub and firepit. Guest access: The whole home and property are yours to enjoy and explore. You will have self-check-in with a custom door code that will be sent to you 7 days prior to arrival. Hosts are not on property but can be available if needed. Other things to note A video of the property is available on YouTube by searching for "Bears Den Cabin in Ashford". The cabin has a Level 2 EV charger exclusively for your use. It's also a 9 minute walk to a secluded, INCREDIBLE section of the Nisqually River Basin. (Laminated directions with pictures are in the house manual, to help you find your way) Our favorite things to do here are sit in the hot tub under the stars, take naps in the hammock, or sit and read by the wood stove. This house is perfectly located for exploring the National Park, or any of the hikes in the beautiful surrounding area. You can drive into the Park, or even drive to White Pass through Skate Creek Road (open summer only) and Packwood. Alder Lake is also nearby and a great place for taking the whole group for a day of swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking etc. (We provide two kids paddleboards with oars in the game shed - you will need your own lifejackets). Make sure to go to Rainier Base Camp for pizza. burgers, salads and cold drinks, and don't forget to stop by Copper Creek for their famous Blackberry pie.

This home is extra special because of the large yard. There are very, very few rentals in the area with as much outside space as this cabin. Although it is located in a small mountain neighborhood, you will have almost an acre of private space to enjoy. Bring a tent and let the kids sleep outside in your private campground! The location of this home is also amazing! You will be less than 5 miles to the entrance of one of the most spectacular National Parks in the United States. There are great restaurants nearby and we are less than 10 miles from the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad. World class hiking is all around, both inside and outside of the National Park. You are also less than a 10 minute walk to a secluded section of the Nisqually River Basin which is a must to explore. White Pass is approximately a 1 hr drive, and even Mt. St. Helens can be done as a day trip. We provide a free Level 2 EV charger, a dog run, hot tub, hammock, firepit with lots of seating (and roasting sticks), sleds for the winter, walking sticks, and lots of games (cornhole, giant Jenga, giant connect 4, giant yahtzee, volleyball, badminton) and puzzles! Go swimming at Alder Lake, fishing at Mineral Lake, hike up to Lake Christine, spend the day at Northwest Trek...or just nap in the shade in the mountain air.
