We have been vistiing the Western North Carolina mountain towns for 20+ years and absolutlely love it! So it only made sense that we buy a home in the area! We stay as often as we can and decided to use the remaining time as a short term vacation rental.

Franklin, NC is known as the "Gem Capital of the World" for its abundance of gem mines where visitors can find rubies, sapphires, and garnets. It also features rich Scottish and Native American heritage, highlighted by The Scottish Tartans Museum and the Macon County Historical Museum. Additionally, the area is a hub for outdoor recreation in the Nantahala National Forest, offering hiking and rafting, and is a popular destination for its downtown area with local shops, restaurants, and the annual Pumpkinfest! We are a short drive to many Western Carolina towns - Highlands, Asheville, Sylva / Cullowhee, Bryson City.
