We call our desert house "Casa Agave," because it feels that way to us: sweet, healing and spirited—like the desert native plants that are featured heartily in our front yard landscaping. Come to it for an escape, time to be creative or for a magical desert adventure. In the backyard, you’ll notice the presence of an ancient Tamarisk tree. Find a spot under its cool, sprawling branches, especially the hammock strung below, and experience its heavenly breezes.

I'm a creative and mom of two kids. I've been a book publisher, editor in chief of health magazines, even a screenwriter. Milo is a history/political science buff—and was once the stand-in for Sean Connery. Born in Prague, he's lived in (or traveled to) more than 75 countries. If you love large military trucks, ask Milo for a personal tour of his AM General deuce and a half—and possibly an excursion through some desert terrain, too—he loves off-roading.

Nestled at the edge of the Partlett Mountains with a view of Joshua Tree National Park and the Eastern Mojave Desert, yet only 2 miles from JT’s quaint village, Farmer’s Market and eclectic shops and restaurants, Casa Agave features best of both worlds.
