Beautiful newly remodeled cabin with breathtaking lake and cliff views. This A-frame cabin is nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest approx. 1/4 mile from Long Bow Marina at Cave Run Lake. A short drive to hiking trails, boating and fishing in area of lake as well to Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge State Park & Carter Caves State Park. Cherokee Cabin has breathtaking cliffs for the backyard. The front faces Cave Run Lake giving you a peaceful view of the lake and its surroundings. Our cabin has 2 stories with kitchen, living room, bathroom and laundry closet on the lower level. Kitchen does have a dishwasher and stocked with your basics to prepare your favorite meals. The bathroom has a 36” shower only with extra storage for your personals and stocked with towels and extra washcloths. There is no bathtub. The laundry closet has washer and dryer. You will find pillows and extra blankets. The living room has a TV stand that has a fireplace. You can enjoy the flame of fire with or without using the heater. Sofa bed, queen size, available for additional sleeping. This room exits out onto a balcony with outdoor sitting to enjoy the views of Cave Run Lake. You will find 2 bedrooms upstairs with private balconies. Main bedroom has queen bed with lake views. Second bedroom has 2 twin beds with balcony looking at the beautiful cliffs that backup to the property. This cabin is an A-frame style. Steep stairs are used to access the bedrooms. As noted previously, there is a sleeper sofa in living room for those who have issues accessing the stairs. Bedding can be found in the laundry closet. For outside sitting, you will find a picnic table located near grill with beautiful views of the lake in front and cliffs behind. Take a stroll up hill pass cabin to find a fire pit and another picnic table with sitting around fire pit. Beyond the sitting area you will find firewood for the fire pit. Need to getaway. I found Cherokee Cabin in November 2023 and took on the challenge with my husband to make a getaway cabin as it had not been used for over 10 years. I fell in love with the property when I first found it, and it has been a blessing to me to turn it into a peaceful retreat. I love sharing the cabin with quests and hope it gives them as much peace as it does me. The property is my little piece of heaven here on earth.

Cherokee Cabin is roughly 1 hour south of Carter Caves National Park and 1 hour north of Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. It is across the hill from Long Bow Marina located at Cave Run Lake.
