Hi, we're Austin & Elizabeth! We're excited to share our favorite places with you! During the day Austin works as part of a family business here in the Twin Cities, and Elizabeth works as a graphic designer. When we're not doing that, we love to travel, hike, and mountain bike. We've stayed at short term rentals for years in many different places and have appreciated the local insights of the hosts, the accommodations, and the privacy. Step back in time and stay in St. Paul's historic West 7th neighborhood at St. Paul's Cottage in the City duplex. Enjoy the historic charm with the comfort of modern elegance, all while being centrally located in the Twin Cities area. You'll be minutes from the Xcel Center, downtown Saint Paul, United Hospital, CHS Field, Keg & Case, and all the restaurants, bars, and other attractions that the West 7th neighborhood has to offer. The space High ceilings, original (100+ year-old) woodwork, hardwood floors, comfortable furnishings, and modern appliances all complete this West 7th duplex home. Enjoy the experience of a boutique hotel with modern amenities and historic charm, all while maintaining the comfort, flexibility, and privacy of a vacation home. Other things to note We utilize Ring video doorbells for our guests' safety. This also allows us to ensure the booking details are accurate -- if more people than are listed attempt to check in, or someone other than the person who made the reservation checks in, we'll be alerted. The second bedroom is a trundle bed to allow for the second single bed. Please be respectful of the guests staying upstairs. If you're looking to stay up until all hours of the evening, this isn't the best place to stay.

West 7th is Saint Paul's historic center. Vintage homes and commercial spaces line the bustling Old Fort Road (West 7th). Restaurants, breweries, universities, and markets in the area include... Keg & Case, A-Side Public House (an 1800s fire station turned into a restaurant), Shamrocks, Parlour Bar, Mancini's, Rok Eatery, Bad Weather Brewing, Summit Brewery, Cossetta's, Cafe Astoria, Hope Breakfast Bar, St. Kate's, St. Thomas, Macalester College, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, And more. You'll be minutes from downtown St. Paul, Minneapolis, the Xcel Energy Center, the Mississippi River, and Fort Snelling. The airport is a short 15 minute drive right down West 7th (Highway 5).
