Country Hideaway at Mountain Lakes Resort is a serene and relaxing place to visit. The resort has numerous activities to offer guests staying here at Country Hideaway. Outdoor pools, indoor pools, 50 acre lake for fishing, paddle boats, jon boats, miniature golf, tennis courts, basketball courts and horseback riding. There is a diner here on property for guests convenience. Dj's Diner serves breakfast, lunch and evening specials.
I am the property manager at Country Hideaway. I enjoy hiking some of the area trails here on property and in the surrounding area. Some of my future endeavors include zip lining in Helen GA, panning for gold @ Gold and Gem Grubbing in Cleveland GA and tubing down the Chattahoochee.
We are conveniently located 6 miles from the beautiful town of Helen GA. There are tons of fun things to do there. Tubing, Hiking, Trout fishing, great German restaurant (Hofbrauhouse) with other great restaurants to enjoy seated directly on the river. Atlanta is another fun day trip which is 1 1/2 hour drive from Country Hideaway. The World of Coca Cola, Six Flags, Centennial Park, etc. Dahlonega is a 30 minute drive from the resort and is a great day trip as well. Venture over to see the Gold museum located right on the square.
