Mark and Darcy purchased what was known as the Worley Homestead with a vision to maintain the colonial charm and update the home with modern amenities and technology.

Dahlonega Inn on Main is located 1.5 blocks west of the Holly Theater in downtown Dahlonega, where you have the arts, quaint shops and locally owned restaurants. The Inn faces a park and Price Memorial Hall, a historic site in Dahlonega, Georgia. The hall was built on the site of the U.S. government's federal branch mint built in 1836. The gold steeple was added to the University of North Georgia's Price Memorial Hall in 1972 with genuine Dahlonega gold and makes for a beautiful view from the front porch. We are also just a .4 mile or 8 min walk to UNG’s baseball and soccer fields. The colonial Inn itself dates back to 1846 and has all the original heart pine wood floors and original fireplaces, as well as many other vintage touches throughout. In addition to your own bedroom and bathroom (three with fireplaces), we encourage you to enjoy the common areas: living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining room where we will host a hearty breakfast, as well as two large outdoor spaces on each side of the house, the patio with a gas fire pit and the other side is a garden space. The breakfasts each morning have been a great hit with our guests!

There are so many activities in the area, you’ll be pressed to decide how you want to spend your time away from the Inn. In addition to enjoying all the town of Dahlonega has to offer, there are great hikes along the Appalachian Trail and beautiful waterfalls to see or drive along the Blue Ridge mountains. Outdoor activities abound and of course you must see the picturesque settings of the many wineries. Dahlonega is truly a 'hallmark' setting and has been the home of several hallmark movies and others.
