The home was built by a local log home crafter using local timber. Located in a quiet residential setting on the outskirts of Fairbanks, Alaska. 12 minute drive to the University, 15 minutes from the Fairbanks International Airport, and 20 minute drive to downtown Fairbanks. Enjoy the Aurora Borealis from the deck or lawn, go sled dog mushing, or drive to the Arctic Circle, Brooks Range, Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska Range, or the internationally renowned Denali National Park or Chena Natural Hot Springs. See the Trans-Alaska pipeline or visit the amazing Fairbanks Icepark in winter. Lots to do within easy reach! Free high-speed wireless internet, nice office work space with a view of the Alaska Range, French press and electric coffee maker, and fresh garden goodies and berries (in season). We’re a husband and wife team raising our daughter in Alaska. We spend our time skiing, snowmachining, fishing, camping, and traveling as a family to remote corners of the state and beyond. We love the outdoors and the simple, wild beauty of this place. Hosting is something we do together, and we take pride in creating spaces that reflect the lifestyle we live and love. We're proud to share a bit of that lifestyle with you. We live in a smaller unit on the property completely separate from the Airbnb log home. We are happy to greet you and offer local tips if desired, but always respect your privacy. Our goal is to ensure you have everything you need for an unforgettable Alaskan stay. You may occasionally see us come and go, but we are often traveling. Regardless of our physical presence, we are always available via messaging for answering any of your questions. We have one dog who is on the property with us when we are. Willow is a super friendly, fun, and well behaved german shepherd. She love's to greet and interact with guests for those so inclined and great with kids!

Multiple entertainment options just 15 minutes away into the city. Two ski/snowboarding hills in the area as well. Summer hiking, biking and water sport options all close to the home. Denali National Park only a 2 hour drive away and local Hot Springs are 1.5 hours away.
