Banana Hale is truly unique because of its beautiful garden. Fresh fruit is always in season, along with fresh air and stunning sunsets. Starry night skies are perfect for winding down after a perfect day in Hawaii. We're 5 minutes away from Waimea/Kamuela town and the Wednesday and Saturday markets. Also, only 15 minutes away from world-class beaches, offering the best of both worlds. To help guests feel more welcome, we can provide personalized recommendations for nearby attractions. We want every guest to feel right at home and to fully enjoy the beauty and tranquility Banana Hale Garden Oasis has to offer. Perfect for couples or single (adults only please). Google Maps should bring you right to Banana Hale: 62-1164 Puahia Street. Kamuela, HI 96743 You can text us as you turn off the highway onto Mahua. If we are home we will come to greet you. When you arrive, please, park on the grassy sidewalk out front. Thanks. * If we are not home to greet you, the studio door will be open. On the right side of the house, you will see a garden entrance with the sign "Banana Hale." That is your entrance. Just follow the path and the door to the studio is right after the outdoor shower.
My wife and I are both teachers and have lived and worked on six continents. The Aloha we feel in Hawaii makes it home. Whether this is your first time visiting or your three-hundredth, we are excited for your visit. The beauty of the land, the purity of the water, and the kindness of the people are very special. We will be available to help and advise our visitors. We live right upstairs.
Walking friendly neighborhood. Families and pets go around. About 80 homes but calm. Is not a "cookie cutter" style house complex, houses have each their own style. We are next to the highway but is not a busy one, yes there are trucks sometimes but you cannot hear them much when your windows are closed. Most of our guest don't even notice it. You will need to rent a car to enjoy the island fully. There is a bus that goes around Waimea/Kamuela town once each hour, this bus stops right by our house, but you will have more flexibility and will be able to come from the airport in your own time if you drive.
