I have two adult children, a son and a daughter, two grandchildren and one more on the way. I enjoy family gatherings, and doing arts and crafts, when time allows. I keep myself really busy! When you visit you will find that Forest Grove is a welcoming and picturesque city. It is located about 25 miles west of Portland nestled in the Tualatin Valley. It blends small-town charm, vibrant community life, and easy access to nature — making it a lovely stop for day trips or weekend getaway. It sits in the famous Willamette Valley, known for world-class Pinot Noir and over 60 wineries nearby. You can visit estate vineyards, enjoy wine tastings, and meet winemakers in scenic settings. During the spring and summer months, visitors can enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing or other activities in our beautiful Hagg Lake, located only 15 minutes away. There is also a very well attended farmers market during the summer months where the community gathers to enjoys food, fresh organic produce and music from local vendors. There are many places for those who enjoy hiking, biking, or fishing. Just minutes from downtown one can visit Fernhill Wetlands, a 240-acre nature preserve great for birdwatching, walking trails, and picnics.
