High Lake Retreat is nestled in a peaceful, wooded area on High Lake, about 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City. It's close enough to all of the exciting adventures northern Michigan has to offer, but far enough away to enjoy nature. High Lake Retreat has 2 cabins sleeping up to 4 people each. The cabins are next door to each other and share the same beach but have their own accommodations, deck, grills, fire pit areas and hot tubs. Just steps from the cabin, guests can also enjoy our beautiful High Lake. Relax on the beach, fish from the dock or take a sunset kayak or pedal boat ride on the lake and listen for the loons. The surrounding area has Grace Macdonald park a couple minutes down the road. There are also ATV, snowmobile, hiking and biking trails all within a few minutes of the cabins. About 15 minutes away, Traverse City offers boutique shopping, historic tours, an abundance of dining options, seasonal festivals and event venues. Old Mission Peninsula is around 20 minutes away from the cabins. Explore the peninsula by car or sign up for a guided wine tour! Tour all of the wineries and take in the gorgeous views!
