Hello, I'm Amy Schumacher, the owner and hostess of Maple Brook Memories. I began this business because I have always been surrounded by creative people and clever projects. My grandmother and mom were always making something growing up. Handmade quilts, sewn prom dresses, embroidery, cross-stitched art, or matching pillows and curtains were some of their projects. There was always a new project at her house. I quickly joined in by doing simple latch hook rugs, making potholders, and collages. I was introduced to Creative Memories in 1995, and I was hooked. It clarified the activity I had been doing since I was a teenager and gave me more sophisticated tools. I have met some awesome people at crops. There is something about getting together with friends and making something. It's such an accomplishment. So, it was natural for me to start a craft business. My husband and I designed and built a place for women to step out of their busy lives and create, to reconnect with friends, and to recharge. Since 2011, I have witnessed guests taking the opportunity to pause and carve out time for themselves and leave refreshed. It’s a beautiful thing!

Since 2011, Maple Brook Memories has become a destination of choice for avid scrapbookers and crafters in the central Ohio area and beyond who want to devote time to hobbies and friends. Six foot craft tables, adjustable office chairs, comfortable twin beds, and no stairs are just some of the reasons why guests come back to MBM. Surrounded by trees and nature, Maple Brook Memories is a 5,000 square foot home located on 35 acres which makes for a secluded and relaxing environment. You are only 4 miles from State Route 33/Lancaster Bypass but it feels far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is not unusual to see pheasant, deer, and turkey near the pond while enjoying a soak in the hot tub or a lemonade on the porch swing.

Maple Brook Memories is nestled in the country between Lancaster and Circleville just 30 minutes south of Columbus, Ohio. Lancaster is the “Gateway to the Hocking Hills” with walking trails & beautiful parks. It’s vibrant downtown features locally owned eateries & breweries and Memorial Drive is peppered with retail stores and restaurants. Home of the Pumpkin Show, Circleville, has a fabulous confectionary & bakery. Crafters enjoy the quilt shops, scrapbooking stores, & antique mall in the area.
