In addition to the 4 private rooms in our Guesthouse, we offer 1 large, private and fully equipped, basement/garden level apartment (located in the same building as our Guesthouse). A favorite home away from home of repeat guests, our apartment has 1 queen bed, full kitchen, private bath and entry. The Guesthouse is located in Portland's historic Alphabet District also known as Nob Hill. Our neighborhood is the city's most charming and vibrant. We are within walking distance or a short transit ride Downtown, the Pearl District, Powell's Books and most of Portland's major cultural institutions. One can meander through the neighborhood streets lined with Victorian homes, NW 23rd and 21st Avenues lined with shops and restaurants or walk up to Washington Park and the amazing Japanese Gardens. From there, it is possible to access over 40 miles of hiking trails. We are only blocks to some of the cities best restaurants and a quarter block to Trader Joes'. We are five blocks to the Portland Streetcar, six blocks to the Trimet light-rail trains with direct access to Portland International Airport, and one block to several major bus lines. In addition, we are a 7-minute bus ride to Union Station (Amtrak) and the Greyhound station (located next to Union Station). If you are driving, we are 7 blocks to the nearest freeway.
