For people traveling to and from the west coast looking for a good night's sleep before continuing on their journey, my home is just a few blocks from I-90 and easy to find. For those looking for recreational opportunities we have a ski lodge, bike rentals and trails and several restaurants close to the host site. I have friendly cats on my premises and though most of my guests enjoy them, there may be some who are allergic or just don't care for cats. I never allow the cats in the guest room. It's a modest room but comfortable and quiet. Guests are welcome to coffee, tea, hot chocolate or chai. I also offer English muffins and cinnamon toast free of charge. And guests are free to use kitchen facilities. Washer and dryer are available. Private off street parking is also available and free. There is a floor mattress available for a third guest or child. The room has a private half bath but the shower is in the main bathroom shared with only the host.

I love meeting people and like to engage in conversation but also understand that some of my guests are tired from a long drive and just want a good night's sleep for their next day's journey. I hope to get the opportunity to host some of the many people coming through Kellogg on their travels and those coming here to enjoy the mountains and recreational activities we have.

There are several restaurants close by including a micro brewery and restaurant. The ski lodge has delicious food in two restaurants. We have a Chinese and Mexican restaurant also, as well as some fast food options. It's very quiet here and being a former mining town there are lots of interesting places to walk and explore. Wallace is a town just nine miles east and is preserved just as it was a hundred years ago. There are lots of interesting stores and restaurants there too. Another popular eating and drinking place is The Snake Pit five miles away, offering dinner and sometimes entertainment with a variety of local collectibles on display. Skiing, snowboarding in the winter and bike, walking trails in summer, tubing rentals too, make the Silver Valley a great place to visit.
