Charlotte and I spend most of our time in the Kansas City area where we live and work. Sugar Rock Lodge, that's the nickname we've coined for our cabin) has always even a place that we have both viewed as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. What we love about hosting is that although we are not currently able to spend as much time there as we wish we could - we realized that by allowing other people the chance to access our home for a specific event like a family reunion, or an anniversary or even must a last minute spur of the moment getaway for a group of friends, we would not only give others the chance to fall in love with our property and home the way we did, but that it would also bring us a lot of peace and joy knowing that rather than our home sitting empty during the times we couldn't be there-instead it would be filled with love, laughter and friendship. Our main goal of hosting is that all of our guests leave feeling rejuvenated, recharged and ready to take on whatever it was that lead them to look for a lake front cabin getaway in the first place.

We feel our home as well as our entire neighborhood have a couple of traits that you can't find just anywhere, and nowadays are almost invaluable : peace and tranquility. And although it possesses those traits we are only a short drive to Branson and all the fantastic shows, concerts and shopping the city has to offer. We find one of our most enjoyable activities can be just starting our day floating on the water, and can end in town catching a new attraction or show that has just debuted. Our neighborhood also has a sense of community and camaraderie you just can't find other places. All the neighbors look out for one another, it's comforting knowing that there are others who are like minded just a short distance from us. Best of all, our neighborhood is very safe, everyone looks out for everyone else and we don't have to worry about a lot of the things people in the city have to worry about.
