The Glamping Collective is just the beginning culmination of a long time dream by its founders, Matt & Christina Bare. In 2012, in the mountains of Costa Rica, a dream began taking shape for a mountaintop retreat near Asheville, NC. Years later, through hundreds of iterations and the mainstreaming of the “glamping” concept, The Glamping Collective was born. Matt spent the last 10 years of his career helping boutique lodging brands get discovered through their branding and online efforts. Throughout that time he learned from some of the best leaders and innovators in hospitality. He developed a unique perspective on the experiences that travelers are looking for and has brought that together, with a personal vision to create a mountaintop experience that’s unique and accessible for all. Matt & Christina have also worked closely with OneWorldHealth throughout Central America to partner with communities in developing countries to bring permanent, sustainable healthcare to the chronically underserved. Part of our vision is that every visit gives a visit. Every reservation completed with us provides a OneWorldHealth clinic visit for an underserved patient in a developing country.
