Welcome to the Van Gogh Apartment! My idea was to spark creativity. Pretend you've entered the canvas of the great artist. The walls are white, like gesso, and each surface was created with one of Van Gogh's famous paintings in mind. My thoughts: If the wood or stone were to be infused with the spirit of Starry Night or Sunflowers, how would that manifest itself? The apartment is new, custom, and as hypoallergenic as I could make it. For this reason, pets cannot be accommodated. Please be aware BEFORE booking: 1. I am near the airport, and although there is sound proofing, if you are easily disturbed by airplane noises, do not book. 2. On Monday and Thursday evenings 6-8, there is a Buhurt Troupe that practices in the gym. There will be several cars parked in front. If you arrive in that window, just let me know that you need to park behind my personal car. 3. I offer my back yard to Sniffspot, for dogs that might be unable to go to dark parks. It's usually a couple times a week. It's between 10:30AM and 5PM (only occasionally). At that time, I ask that you do not go into the back yard during their hour. If you don't want me to offer this to dogs during your stay, please let me know ahead of time, so that I can block the yard. You can use the entire yard. You can use the firepits, and you can pick the food, growing. By the way, about that, this is a homestead, with fruits and vegetables growing in growing season. If it disturbs you to see pots waiting for planting, or farm type tools in sight, please feel free to pass this property by. I'm always working on new projects back there, and artwork. I love hosting short-term rentals like my 'Van Gogh Apartment' because it allows me to create unique, artistic spaces that inspire and uplift my guests. This is a friendly neighborhood that has many children and one of my neighbors occasionally has large parties. They aren't supposed to park in my spaces unless they ask, however, occasionally that may happen. This is a multi-cultural neighborhood. We have been known to have a block party with everyone contributing food from all around the world. There are several bus stops within a 5 minute walk. I am in the middle of a hill, so if you have issues walking a hill, and do not have transportation, my home is not suitable. I have included areas to eat and info for delivery. If you are walking, the areas are within a 30 minute walk.
