Are you travelling to Saigon in Vietnam and looking for accommodation?  Most visitors to Saigon choose to stay in Districts 1 or 2, especially near the tourist hub of Bui Vien Street. A nice hotel there typically costs 1.5-3 million vnd per night. There are many small, cheap hotels in the area but beware that they are poorly cleaned, rooms are small and often have poor air-conditioning and bathrooms/toilets. Here is an attractive option to consider for your accommodation in Saigon. You can stay in a luxury apartment in the Grand Park estate which is located on the east side of Saigon City. There is a cheap (7k) bus service to District 1 and the airport. Staying at this Grand Park apartment offers you an authentic Vietnamese experience by • avoiding constant harrassment by street hawkers on Bui Vien • many cafes and spas in the area which cater for locals rather than for tourists • there is a vibrant night market with an abundance of food and drinks to try and live music acts to enjoy • you can shop nearby at local prices (especially beware the tourist trap of Ben Thanh Markets in District 1 where you can pay 2-3X the prices that locals pay!) The apartment is run by a lovely young lady Jolie who speaks good English. She will be your personal concierge and give you great advice on where to eat, shop, be pampered and to get the best prices on tours and activities. The apartment has 3 bedrooms with a double bed and an extra sofa bed, so could accommodate large families or a group of friends. It is ideal for visitors who are planning a longer stay in Saigon for medical or dental procedures.  Cost is by friendly negotiation and depends on how many guests and length of stay.
