We worked for an international mining company for several years and were fortunate enough to experience many professional hospitality establishments around the world. This experience combined with a passion for providing an excellent service has helped us to provide a homely and affordable service for all our guests. We have personally welcomed all our international guests on arrival from many different countries over a period of eight years. We enjoy assisting visitors with information and transportation. For tourists, we enjoy helping our guests plan their tourist visits in Johannesburg, Pretoria and surrounding areas; providing details of travel and tourist companies in Johannesburg; providing information on local restaurants; providing transport whenever required; providing facilities for small events and meetings; providing local traffic advice; providing meals such as breakfasts, dinners and barbeques; providing knowledge and our experiences of Johannesburg and South Africa. For businessmen, we are always excited to share our knowledge of the different companies and industrial sectors in the Johannesburg area. Our love of nature is reflected in the manicured garden of the guest house, which produces flowers during the whole year. The décor inside the establishment includes photographs taken by myself, as well as professional pictures of South African mountains, birds and animals. We love to tell our guests about our numerous National and Private Parks in South Africa, and the animals and birds that can be seen in the parks, from the Kruger National Park in the east of the country to Table Mountain National Park in Cape Town.

The Guest House is situated in the leafy and safe suburb of Bedfordview just 15 minutes' drive from OR Tambo International Airport. It is located close to five major motorways providing speedy road access to all major routes around Johannesburg, as well as major routes out of Johannesburg. These motorways facilitate easy travel access for tourists to attractions such as the Kruger National Park, the Apartheid Museum, the Pilansberg National Park, Sun City Resort, Gold Reef City Theme Park, Soweto Tours, the Drakensberg tourist resorts, The Lion Park, The Cradle of Humankind Heritage Site and tourist attractions in Pretoria such as the Vortrekker Monument, the Union Buildings and the Cullinan Diamond Mine. Through experience, the Guest House assists guests in connecting with knowledgeable and reliable tour operators as well as providing information on City Sightseeing Tours. For businessmen, the location of the guest house provides a hub from which industry visits can be undertaken not only to the business areas of Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni, but also to the business areas of Limpopo, the Northwest Province, and Kwa Zulu Natal. The guest house offers 4 elegantly decorated, comfortable rooms and three self-catering apartments. Each self-catering unit accommodates 4 guests. All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with showers. Each room is equipped with bar fridge, hair dryer, a high-speed internet connection, air-conditioning, hospitality tray and a flat-screen TV with all DStv channels. Breakfast is served every morning in the dining area. Dinner and lunch are also available on request. Our facility provides a friendly, relaxed and comfortable “home away from home” atmosphere. The guest house has a covered barbeque area that overlooks a well-manicured garden adjacent to two lapas at the swimming pool. Secure off-street parking is provided. Security cameras monitor the property on a continuous basis. A well-equipped conference room for eight guests is available.

Travellers choose the central location of Bedfordview to easily access the many tourist attractions in the general Johannesburg area, such as the Red Bus Tours, the Apartheid Museum, Gillooly’s Farm, the Gold Reef City Theme Park, the Johannesburg Zoo, the World of Beer, the Cradle of Humankind, the Sterkfontein Caves, the Soweto Tours, the Pilansberg Game Park, and all the tourist attractions of Pretoria. The OR Tambo International Airport is an easy 13 minute journey. The Guest House offers a shuttle service to ORT and a transport service, although the suburb is well served by Uber. The lush, leafy, residential suburb of Bedfordview offers a safe and secure environment, due to the close liaison with the local Community Policing Forum, security companies and the South African Police Services. The community has also recently formed an organization called "Better Bedfordview" which is upgrading and repairing pedestrian walkways, removing litter and replanting roadside gardens, all in order to improve the quality of life in the suburb. The Guest House is 1.6 kms from the Gillooly’s motorway Interchange, providing direct access to the numerous major motorways, resulting in easy access to the business districts of Sandton, Midrand, Johannesburg, and Pretoria. Closer to the Guest House, there are five sleek shopping facilities of Village View, Bedford Gardens, Meadowdale, Eastgate and Key West. They are all within a short distance of five kilometres. Each shopping mall has numerous restaurants offering cuisines from many countries. Several attractions within walking distance from the Guest House also include The Chocolate Factory, the New Delhi Indian restaurant, and Kaylee’s Vegan Market. The Bedfordview Country Club is 400 meters from the Guest House, offering facilities, for a variety of sports, including a Virgin Active Gymnasium. Nearby golf courses include the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Course, the Glendower, and the Germiston Golf Clubs.
