88 Baron van Reede Guesthouse is a charming example of unique Victorian sandstone architecture, with high ceilings, original wooden floors and doors with stained glass inserts.
Decorated in warm earthy colours and homely décor, there are plenty of areas to either warm in front of a fireplace on a chilly winter evening with a book or sipping refreshments on the front verandah or on hot days recline on loungers after a dip in the crystal clear pool.
With 88 reasons to visit Oudtshoorn you will want to stay longer than one night. Where else can you meet an ostrich, crawl in a cave, pet a cheetah, swim in a waterfall, watch hippos at a waterhole, enjoy lunch at a winery and drive over the majestic Swartberg Mountains.
