In 2012, Marinus & Ida Smith, the owners of Bundox Safari Lodge, embarked on their journey by acquiring their first lodge. We are now the proud owners of 4 lodges in South Africa and 1 lodge in Botswana. Tucked away on a private sanctuary in the wonderful bushveld of South Africa's Limpopo Province, a short drive from the safari town of Hoedspruit and the magnificent Kruger National Park, Bundox River Retreat offers a sprawling three-bedroom family villa that's ideal for families with children or groups of friends. It's a home-from-home in the true sense of the phrase, giving you the chance to self-cater in the privacy of an exclusive, intimate and gloriously natural setting with a host of incredible activities and attractions on your doorstep. With a modern, open-plan kitchen, living and dining room opening onto a spacious covered verandah and an expansive wooden deck that runs parallel to the river, Bundox River Retreat is all about indoor-outdoor living and making the best of the breathtaking surroundings. Downstairs are two large en-suite double bedrooms and a family bathroom and upstairs there's a cosy loft bedroom with a double and single bunk bed and wonderful views over the river. All rooms are air-conditioned for maximum comfort and while there isn't a TV, there is WiFi if you need to stay connected (although we do recommend a digital detox while you're in residence).
