Over the years, our family has created an ensemble of some of the finest, hand-picked properties in South Africa. What started as our collection of private family holiday homes, grew into a portfolio of carefully selected properties we so enjoyed ourselves, we wanted to share these special places with you as well. Quietly tucked away in the heart of the Midlands, in the midst of our farm, lies a luxurious, family and pet-friendly lakeside retreat we fondly call Carshalton Country Escape.

Below are some of the activities you can do during your stay and many wonderful places to go and visit around the area. Swimming and relaxing On the far side of the dam, you will hear the roaring sound of the little waterfall as it plunges over the rocks into the naturally carved-out rock pool below. Interestingly, this is how the farm got its name “Little Falls.” You are welcome to walk there and spend time on the large wooden deck or jump into the water for a refreshing swim. You will find three kayaks with paddles and life jackets alongside the garage that you are welcome to use on the dam - please ensure these are always returned to the undercover area out of the sun. It is imperative you wear a lifejacket at all times when utilizing the kayaks for safety reasons. The property is fenced in with gates leading to the water to make it safe for families with small children. Fishing The dam in front of the house has trout in it. You are welcome to fish on a catch-and-release basis. Should you wish to go bass fishing at our other dam on the farm, please do not hesitate to contact anyone on the farm and we will gladly arrange it. Please bring your own fishing equipment.

Guests at the vacation home will be able to enjoy activities in and around Mooi River, like canoeing and hiking. Guests can enjoy cycling and fishing nearby, or make the most of the sun terrace.
