This unique house has a style all its own, beautifully restored classic Cape Dutch home built in 1795. Known as “The Firemaster House" it is a Heritage house on historic Church Street in Tulbagh. Relax in an elegant, comfortable and freshly updated setting. The house has two courtyard and a private garden. Walk to shops and restaurants, explore the near by, wine region. Tulbagh is surrounded by magnificent mountains. The basin and its lush rolling hills are drained by the Klein Berg River. A unique home that was renovated with lots of caring about the history and the heritage. In the home you will find most of the facilities you would ask for. A beautiful decorated home combining Cape Dutch and modern furniture. The house has two courtyards and one pergola with a small outdoor kitchen for entertainment. In one of the courtyards you will find a jacuzzi. In connection to the home is a private garden with fruit trees and a boma. In front of the house, on the other side of the street, is the house's large private garden with fruit trees, a pergola and boma. Will be completed during December There is an electricity fee for heating the jacuzzi, please let us know at least two days before arrival if the jacuzzi is to be heated.

We came to Tulbaght in 2021 and fell in love with this historic town. The same year did we buy Firemasters House. Together with a local architecht we made plans for the update of the house. During the end of 2022 we started the careful renovation. We wanted to secure this heritage to the future and give it a modern update and facilities, in order to make it a home. I live in Sweden and try to spend as much time as possible in South Africa. Our co-host, Louise, is available during your stay to help you.

Tulbagh is less than 1,5 hour from Cape Town. Has parking, as well as free street parking. Car when you go to the vineyards, walkability in town.
