Fisherman's Watch Cottage commands one of the most spectacular views overlooking Fish Hoek bay. Sea, beach and mountains stretch out below the private guest area. Just a short drive from all facilities, this offers a sheltered location in the mountainside. Guests are fully protected from load shedding with all electrical functions like Wi-Fi, TV, kitchen appliances, lights and heating remaining unaffected. The completely self-contained, separate entranced cottage includes a bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and lounge. The bedroom contains a double bed, with a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with most facilities including a washing machine, a hob and oven, microwave, and a fridge. Full DSTV and free WiFi. There is also an iron and hairdryer for guests exclusive use.

We live on the property (on a different level) and respect our guests' privacy. We do also welcome interaction with international and local visitors and can offer some unique additional experiences. For example, George is a certified, qualified tour & wine guide with excellent knowledge of the local wine routes. He is willing (for a small fee) to accompany you on any trip into the wine regions to make sure you get the most out of the experience. Barbara is also highly qualified in her field of Tourism and Geography, with extensive local knowledge that most professional tour guides would be envious. Additionally, she is reasonably fluent in conversational German.

Fish Hoek is a small, delightful village in the southern Cape Peninsula about 35 km (45 minutes by car) from central Cape Town. It has arguably the best beach in the whole of South Africa. Safe, gently sloping hard sand, with small waves, it is particularly children friendly. Lovely warm water, it is also the home of some of the few remaining trek fishermen boats in SA. Easy access by car to Cape Point, Boulders Beach (penguin colony) and the picturesque villages of Kalk Bay, Simonstown and Noordhoek.
