Hardy-da Forest Cottage is nestled in the charming farming town of White River in Mpumalanga. The cottage is surrounded by a diverse array of plants, birds, and wildlife such as genets, mongoose and duiker, which thrive in the valley of grassland and woodland. The self-catering cottage is set within the owners property and comfortably accommodates 2 adults and 2 children. There are two bedrooms; The main bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed. An easy chair, positioned within the bay window area, invites guests to relax and enjoy views of the forest foliage. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, washbasin, and toilet, with all linen and bath towels provided for convenience. The second bedroom has two single beds, sofa and an en suite bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. Please note that bathrooms are equipped with showers only. The second bedroom is made available to two additional children or a third adult. On request, it is also made available to the second guest. The living area features a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge, gas stove, kettle, microwave, toaster, cutlery, and crockery. The lounge accommodates a small dining table, comfortable seats and a TV with DStv. Leading from the lounge is a wooden deck which provides ample space for relaxing under the shade of the trees. The deck is surrounded by a canopy of trees which, in summer, provides wonderful shade. The deck provides an exclusive and quiet environment, a place to relax. On the deck, I have included a fire pit, weber braai, table and comfortable chairs, so at any time of the day you can relax with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. A communal plunge pool is accessed via the deck. The cottage is ideal for couples, couples with children and individuals who are on holiday or business. The second bedroom is made available on request or when more than two people book. The cottage is only available to one booking at a time; this ensures your privacy.

The property, of 4 hectares, was purchased 25 years ago. I spend a lot of my time gardening, propagating plants and maintaining the bushveld environment with my three socialized and friendly dogs. I have created paths within the property that provide easy access through an environment of grassland, forest and woodland, home to birds and other wildlife such as duiker, dwarf mongoose and genet.

The cottage is situated 5km outside of White River in a bushveld environment. For guests wanting to explore; the Bosch Pottery Studio and Eloff Gallery are 300m away. Casterbridge life style center is a little over 8km away and has a number of restaurants, shops, art galleries and a farmers market once a month. The panoramic route offers a scenic drive with an array of wonderful restaurants and activities. Uplands College is approximately 12 km away. The Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, KMIA, is a 10km drive. Kruger Park is a one hour drive and the national botanical gardens, our national treasure, is approximately 15km from us.
