My wife Tanya and I love to travel and have been to more than 25 countries! We love to meet people and enjoy different cultures. During our many travels we have built up vast experience in being hosted in different environments - from a mud hut in Malawi to very posh hotels in Paris and Tuscany! We trust that this knowledge will transfer into being great hosts that offer an unforgettable stay! We love the Garden Route and know the area well. We enjoy pointing out the lesser known jewels of this area to our guests. Our three children are all grown up and the eldest is married, the youngest is studying from home, while our middle daughter is finalizing her studies at Uni in Bloemfontein this year. We try to travel as much as possible with local trips down the Garden Route, Cape Town and the Eastern Cape on our list annually. We have been fortunate to travel to Europe regularly as well and we love to mix in the bush of the Kruger National Park every second year or so! We enjoy hosting local as well as foreign visitors. Living in such a beautiful and safe area makes George the ideal hub from which to explore the Garden Route - down the coast towards either Knysna or Mosselbay!

Jasmine Cottage is brand new! We opened for bookings in December 2017 and have been hosting guests since the day we went "live" on the internet! The cottage is spacious - 55 square meters. It offers a large living area with a well equipped kitchenette. Every single appliance and piece of furniture was bought brand new in December 2017! The living area offers a lovely modern L shaped couch facing the 55 inch plat screen smart TV. We do not offer DSTV but have Netflix activated and obviously YouTube via the internet - we offer free Wifi! For cold winter evenings we have a cozy fire-place in the living area and we provide ample fire wood free of charge. In fact we may even throw in a complementary bottle of red wine in winter! We like to spoil our guests and try to ensure that those booking for longer than 4 nights will receive a complementary little something - a magazine, a bottle of wine, or champagne (if we are aware of a special occasion like an anniversary). Fresh flowers and a chocolate on your pillow on arrival goes without saying! We have a sleeper coach in the living room for children, or extra guests. The main bedroom is en suite with crisp white linen!

Jasmine is a very private cottage, centrally situated in a quiet, tree-lined suburb of George in the beautiful Garden Route. The cottage consists of an en suite bedroom and a very spacious living area with a well-equipped kitchenette. This cottage has recently been renovated to suit the style and demands of the modern self-caterer. Jasmine Cottage has a separate entrance and comfortably caters for 3-4 guests. The bedroom has a double bed, while children are accommodated on a comfy sleeper-coach in the lounge area. The kitchenette is fully kitted out with a large fridge/freezer, microwave oven, small oven, toaster and filter-coffee machine and all the cutlery and crockery you could possibly need. The spacious living area has a 55 inch smart TV with Netflix and even sports a fire-place with complementary fire wood for those winter evenings!
