KAIHA is the ideal Witsand getaway and is situated just 50 m from the beach with tidal pool. This lovely double-storey house offers a partial sea view and accommodates 6-8 people (up to 6 adults and 2 children). The 3 bedrooms are located on the first floor – two of these each contain a double bed and the third is furnished with 2 single beds. There is a lounge area on the upper level with a sleeper couch suitable for 2 children or 1 adult. The rooms share the use of a bathroom with a bath, basin and a toilet. There is also a separate guest bathroom on the lower level with a shower, basin and toilet. A separate playroom will keep the kids busy on those rainy days: pool table, table tennis, dart board, playing cards, board games, separate tv with DSTV & wi-fi. Soft touches and attention to detail makes this property a memorable place to stay.

Hi, I’m Sonja! I am happily married to Rian, a Certified Financial Planner. We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren whom we absolutely adore! We are both business owners from Gauteng and have travelled the world. We have been to Mauritius, Turkey, France, The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy, Malta and Croatia. Our most recent destinations were Australia and Cancun, Mexico in 2019. We enjoyed the Canal du Midi in the south of France where we chartered a boat and explored the canal. We had our bicycles on board for riding into the small villages to buy bread and wine. Cruising the Meditteranean was also memorable as was Keukenhof and the Tulip Festival! We just love to return to our favourite hide-away place in Witsand every time. We have made many friends in this little village and hope to make this our permanent address in time to come. WITSAND. It is known as the whale nursery of South Africa due to attracting a large number of Southern Right Whales from May-October each year. It offers 5km of sandy beaches that stretch around the mouth of the Breede River. It is the ideal destination for a relaxing family holiday and proudly hosts a Blue Flag beach where you can enjoy the summer sun and swimming in the Indian ocean. Witsand is well known for its deep-sea and river fishing opportunities and offers great boating experiences. Low tide on the Breede River offers an island-like experience where you can walk on the large sandbanks in search of the very delicate pansy shells hidden just below the sand surface. It is also an ideal location for the adrenaline junkie and offers a variety of water sports. Activities include kite surfing, surfing, windsurfing, canoeing, sailing, spearfishing, diving and snorkelling. Nature lovers will be in their element with some beautiful nature trails overlooking the river. Strolls along the beach also offers you the opportunity to explore rock pools during low tide. The little ones will love spotting sea life like octopus, starfish, sea urchins, crabs & other fish species.
