At KwaMarianne you will be welcomed by your managing host Jabulani, a very nice, accommodating and helpful Man (our father). He lives in the ground floor of the timber home with our 2 child friendly dogs. 2 dogs, local armed response and camera surveillance of the entrance are there to ensure your safety. The rest of the family might be around at times, also enjoying a breather. We like to meet our guest at the communal area, but also respect your privacy.

Dear valued Guest, we are welcoming you at our family holiday home in Hibberdene. KwaMarianne is a unique and peaceful place to stay at the edge of Hibberdene town, the beginning of the famous South Coast holiday region in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal. At KwaMarianne you can feel home away from home! We offer 3 types of accommodation: 1. En-Suite Timber Home Chalet – Perfect for families, couples and remote worker. It includes a double bed, a sofa and a desk. On request, a single bed or a baby cot can be added. Your own toilet and shower as well as a terrace complete the private space. 2. Caravan stand – The right choice if you bring your own caravan or camper van. Our microbus can be booked on request. The concrete stand is level and includes a power plug point. 3. Tent spot – The best sea view on the land is from the level ground tent spot. Bring your own tent, the main spot can fit a large family tent up to 15 m². Its shade covered for the morning sun and directly next to the hammock trees. The communal area to braai and chill offers an outside kitchen with grill area and a bonfire place. You can also pull a Hammock and enjoy your ‘holidays and work’ vibes while looking out to the blue Ocean, whales and sardines can be spotted in season.

Hibberdene offers all necessary for your daily needs, while we are blessed with nature views towards the Indian ocean facing east, and rural hills and valleys to the west. A short drive to Port Shepstone and the coastal resort town of Margate gets you in the middle of the South Coast developments with Malls, Bars, Night Clubs etc. In only 1 hour drive to the north you will reach to eThekwini/Durban, with King Shaka International Airport (about 1.5 hours drive), while 1 hour drive to the South, brings you to the Wild Coast, full of hidden secrets and the popular Wild Coast Sun water park and Casino. At KwaMarianne you can feel home away from home! You can walk to the sandy shore in about 15 min. The Blue Flag beach with life guards, shark nets and sanitary facilities is about 5 min drive in town. As surfers ourself, we recommend Umzumbe or Mfazazana as closest surf spots, depending on the conditions you will always be able to find hidden spots with nobody out. A drive to Margate (St. Michael and more) or Durban will provide Surf Schools, Rentals and Shops. Please ask for guided drives around neighbouring places. We are looking forward to show you around.
