Whispering Waves Villa is a spacious holiday home featuring its own private garden, swimming pool, and secure parking facilities. Nestled in the peaceful and green neighborhood of Freeland Park, Scottburgh, this charming retreat offers both comfort and convenience. In April 2025, the villa received a thoughtful refresh: all rooms were repainted, thoroughly cleaned, and enhanced to create an even more cozy and welcoming atmosphere. With panoramic ocean views from most areas of the house, guests can enjoy the ever-changing colors of the sea and sky throughout the day. The villa comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across five bedrooms and four bathrooms: • 1 bedroom with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom • 1 bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom • 1 bedroom with a king-size bed • 2 bedrooms with two single beds each The last three rooms share a bathroom with a shower, a bathroom with a bath, and a separate toilet, all conveniently located in the hallway. Communal spaces include a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, sunroom, and a study. The sunroom opens onto a spacious deck and patio overlooking the swimming pool (please note: there is no fence around the pool). The property also features a double garage and additional on-site parking for three cars. Please note that the house is built on a slope, with access via a flight of stairs, and may not be suitable for everyone. Whispering Waves Villa is ideal for guests seeking a quiet and peaceful getaway, as well as for those wishing to explore the area and enjoy outdoor activities. The villa is conveniently located just 5 minutes by car from Scottburgh Main Beach, shops, and restaurants, and only 3 minutes from the N2 highway. Important: Whispering Waves Villa has a strict no-party, no loud music, and no pets policy. Any violation of these rules may result in immediate removal from the premises.

The villa has been owned since October 2024 by a Dutch couple, Richard and Miranda. Whenever their schedule allows, they love to visit South Africa and enjoy the beauty of the South Coast. Wanting to share this special place with others, they decided to open their home to guests so they, too, can experience the charm of the area. To ensure everything runs smoothly, Gilly, the housekeeper, and Moses, the gardener and maintenance man, help keep the property beautifully maintained. Sander and Kim, who live next door, manage the bookings and are available should guests need any assistance during their stay. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Sander and Kim are dedicated to making every stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.

Freeland Park is a lush, family-friendly neighborhood where residents take pride in both their community and the surrounding environment. The area benefits from an active and engaged community, with several residents contributing to enhanced safety and convenience: the neighborhood has 24/7 security, 33 cameras monitored from a central control room, and even self-organized street signage. Freeland Park is a suburb of Scottburgh, located within the Umdoni Municipality at the start of the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. The neighborhood is bordered by the N2 freeway, the Amahhongwa River, the R102 (old main road), and Dududu Road (between the R102 and N2). Scottburgh itself is celebrated for its main beach, where grassy banks slope down to sandy shores—a favorite for holidaymakers for decades. The town is also famous for its vibrant surfing community, with popular surfing spots including Scottburgh Beach, Rocky Bay, Green Point, and Pennington. For those who love activity and adventure, the area offers golf courses, mountain biking, running and hiking trails, as well as diving, snorkeling, and fishing in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, particularly around Aliwal Shoal, a world-renowned reef. Wildlife enthusiasts can explore Croc World, Vernon Crooks Nature Reserve, and the dramatic Oribi Gorge.
