The space Our brand new Eco Cabin has been manufactured to our demanding standards and specs, with no expense spared in producing a luxury space , that at the same time is complimentary to the beautiful farm and countryside surroundings. The finest Egyptian cotton linen and towels, with a super comfy bed, will deliver a great night’s rest and set our guests up to enjoy the fresh mountain water shower, to later relax on the day bed and prepare refreshments in the well equipped kitchen. The Cabin is totally off the grid, with ample solar power, the purest mountain water in the system and gas heating for hot water in the kitchen and bathroom, The very effective, closed internal fireplace is wood-fired, as is the outside braai and hot tub. Wood is sourced from the farm and available on request. Our beautiful Cabin is yours to enjoy, and our farm Hosts, Rochelle and Braam will do everything possible to assist you in your stay. Rochelle has a list of local activities and Restaurant possibilities, should our guests wish to venture out and explore the local countryside. Rochelle and Braam are resident and manage the Farm, Remhoogte, with it's amazing vineyards, natural scenic beauty and cattle and sheep farming. The Farm is blessed with waterfalls on the Mountain which feed into pure mountain water fed dams, perfect for swimming on those hot summer days. Braam and Rochelle are known for their personal care shown to all guests, from the moment of arrival to check out at the end of their stay. Guest access The complete en-suite cabin and outside areas are for the exclusive use of our guests only. Other things to note Farm wood is harvested and provided to the cabin for purposes of heating the wood fired hot tub, the internal fire place and the outside braai facility. Please use sparingly and as effectively as possible, to assist in the sustainability of the cabin precinct. Please exercise care when entering or leaving the R60 road farm entrances , as it is a busy road link between the N1 and N2 and bisects the tourism valley between Swellendam and Ashton. Wining and Dining There are many and varied Restaurants, wine and olive farms within close drive proximity to our Cabin, our farm Hosts, Rochelle and Braam will be only too happy to provide details of the local cuisine on offer, on request. Hiking and Mountain biking tracks and routes The Swellendam valley and vicinity has numerous facilities for hiking and cycling and there is easy access to our neighbouring towns and villages, Bonnievale, Montagu and Swellendam itself, for sightseeing and other related areas of interest !
