Mitford Lodge has 3 sea-facing suites. The Crossing is a spacious, light and airy self-catering apartment with 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, fully functional open-plan kitchen, and built-in braai on the balcony. Savuka and Dela are both small family units, sleeping 2 Adults and 2 children. Savuka can interlink with The Crossing to create a 6 sleeper unit, or 8 sleeper if a family. Savuka and Dela have kitchenettes , and one bathroom each. There are some inviting restaurants within walking distance, and all 3 units are within metres of the sea with panoramic views, and crashing waves.

Staying at Mitford Lodge you will find that a stroll in any direction brings you to some of the delightful landmarks of the town ; directly below are the waves crashing on the rocks; five to ten minutes along the sea front to the North is the lagoon and Main Beach. Fancy a cappuccino on your way ? Stop at The Deck and enjoy its offerings. Browse the small but well-stocked Sandhoppa. Dreaming of a walk along the beach? 1.8 kms of wide sandy beach takes you to the lighthouse and Duck Pond - a fantastic walk for you and your dog. South from the Mitford are the inimitable cliffs - your walk to the top will take less than 10 minutes- and the view is rugged and spectacular. Within 3kms is The Double Mouth Nature Reserve - ideal for a picnic on its rocky shores. Top Shop is centrally located for general groceries, with the Deli just behind it The Pink Lady is a must visit, where there are calming views of the valley, taken in with your tea and whatever delight Francine has baked for the day. Bayview and Sunset Bar are just outside of the village for a delicious pizza or hamburger in a country environment. Park runner? Join those like-minded souls on a Saturday morning at Kei Mouth Country Club. Morgan's Bay is a friendly, welcoming Transkei town where you shouldn't be surprised to meet the odd Nguni cow on your way to the beach.
