(shower, toilet and wash basin) in our home, with a separate entrance. The room is fresh, sunny and filled with light. Enjoy the view of our Cape fynbos garden from a large picture window. There is a coffee/tea station, microwave, toaster and kettle. French doors leading to a patio, area where you can relax outside and enjoy morning coffee looking out at the garden. on the patio where you can hear the waves and birds . We don’t have a television Or DSTV but you can stay connected with high-speed internet-fast up and download.

We are a MUSIC composer, WARRICK SONY, and MICHELE ROWE, a crime WRITER respectively, with a long history of working in the music and film industry, as well as news and television. We fell in love with the beauty and tranquillity of Kommetjie and moved here six years ago. We have won numerous awards for our work and now concentrate on our personal projects. We love books, art, music and movies. We are nature lovers, who enjoy hiking, yoga, and wild swimming. We enjoy meeting new people, travelling, food, and wine. Michele teaches creative writing, Warrick lectures teaches composition and sound theory.

Kommetjie presents the perfect getaway as an antidote to the stressful hubbub of the world. As residents, we pride ourselves on our community spirit. It’s a place where children can still play, cycle and skateboard in the street, and people can walk to the shops restaurants and beaches. We have an excellent Neighbourhood Watch and generally look out for each other. However, crime rates in the country are high, so be sensible and err on the side of caution. Be sure to lock the room and close all the windows when you go out. Look after your valuables and don’t leave cameras, laptops or phones unattended in public spaces or in your car. A renowned surfing destination, there are spectacular waves for serious surfing. The KOMMETJIE SURF SHOP hires boards and wetsuits for a day or half a day. Kommetjie also has popular activities like boogie boarding, windsurfing, skateboarding, hang-gliding, crayfish fishing, cycling and hiking.
