Stay at Richmond is a charming guesthouse nestled in the heart of the Karoo, in the quaint town of Richmond — also known as Booktown — in the Northern Cape. Conveniently located on the N1, halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town, it’s the perfect stopover for travellers seeking rest, warmth, and a touch of Karoo hospitality.
This beautifully preserved late-1800s Karoo-style home was lovingly restored and converted into a guesthouse by my husband and me. Our goal is to offer guests a unique and memorable “Stay at Richmond” — where history, comfort, and genuine hospitality come together in perfect harmony.
