Summer Lodge Villa 1 in Uvongo offers a wonderful holiday destination that is well equipped for self-catering. This is a tranquil tropical paradise on the cliffs above Uvongo Lagoon. Summer Lodge consists 6 Villas with Summer Lodge Villa 1 being the main house with it's own pool etc and is completely separate to the other Villas. Villas 2 to 6 share a pool and a communal braai area. Summer Lodge Villa 1 boasts truly majestic 270 degree views over Uvongo Beach and the lagoon as well as a commanding view out to sea. The spectacular view can be viewed from almost all rooms in this spacious comfortable holiday house.  It has a large patio in front of the house where there is a fenced in sparkling rim-flow pool. There is easy access onto Uvongo beach from this property via stairs leading down. The lagoon and beach are protected by steep cliffs and dense indigenous trees and foliage which must make Uvongo Beach one of the most beautiful in the world. Summer Lodge Villa 1 is a spacious four bedroom family home that can accommodate 8 guests. The lounge opens up onto a spacious patio with a private rim-flow swimming pool that has stunning sea-views. Guests can enjoy a built-in charcoal braai on the patio whist taking in the views and enjoying the sound of the waves. The kitchen is well equipped and features a washing machine, tumble drier dishwasher and also a chest freezer. The living area is open plan and comprises a bar area a spacious lounge that is equipped with air-conditioning and a dining room which features an 8 seater dining table. There is a flat screen TV in the lounge with an open view decoder. Guests are welcome to bring their own DSTV Decoder to connect to DSTV. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and also has air-con. There is a sliding door with trellis doors that opens up onto the patio. The ensuite bathroom features a shower as well as a bath. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed. The third as well as the fourth bedrooms have two single beds.

Uvongo, a bustling seaside holiday town, is known for its beautiful beach with a lagoon that stretches back to a waterfall. The lagoon and beach are protected by cliffs and dense indigenous trees and foliage which must make Uvongo beach one of the most beautiful in the world. Paddle boats and also canoes are for hire on the lagoon. Curios are available to buy or admire from the local craft market on the beach. The beach is well sheltered and has lifeguards as well as shark nets. Therefore making it an excellent swimming and surfing beach. The Pavilion Restaurant overlooking Uvongo Beach, apart from lovely views, also has great food. The setting overlooking the beach, the rocks, and out to sea is magnificent. Other attractions include numerous rock pools that stretch from Uvongo beach to Lucien beach and the fishing pier on the edge of the beach. Lillie Crona Avenue is a 2.5km stretch of road along the rocks between these two beaches which is abuzz with walkers, joggers, and cyclists every morning and evening. Manaba Beach is the seaside village on the Hibiscus Coast that overlaps Uvongo and Margate. St Michaels on Sea is a small village centered around a fantastic little beach, lagoon, and a small navigable river. This beach is packed with every kind of holiday activity, an absolute must for those wanting a break from it all.  Nearby Shelly Beach has two shopping malls, many restaurants, and movies. Shelly Beach also offers deep-sea fishing trips, dolphin and whale watching trips, scuba diving, and also shark cage diving.  Day trips are the order of the day with the Wild Coast Sun, Oribi Gorge, with its hair-raising swinging bridge within easy traveling distance.The crocodile farm and the renowned San Lameer golf course is also an easy trip away and the Mac Banana-filled pancakes are to die for!
