This name was chosen to draw attention to the little wonders of nature in our area, since there is already such emphasis on the African Big 5. The natural bush contains a treasure trove of truly amazing and beautiful creatures of all shapes and sizes and we would like guests to enjoy these as much as the incredible large creatures of Africa. Switsongo B&B is in the heart of a stunning wildlife estate in Hoedspruit. The area teams with wildlife and walks and drives are possible on the estate. Guests can also simply enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the bushveld while relaxing alongside the pool. Switsongo is located in the heart of a beautiful secure wildlife estate in Hoedspruit. Hoedspruit is a small tourist town surrounded by private Big 5 game reserves and close to the iconic Kruger National Park. The area is famous for some of the most exclusive safari lodges in Africa. It is also on the doorstep of the largest green canyon in the world, the Blyde Rive Canyon. As a result Switsongo B&B is ideally located as a base from which to do a wide range of day trips. Any number of interesting and exciting trips can be arranged from Switsongo. Hoedspruit also has a range of restaurants close by that guests can enjoy meals at. Your host, Sue, can assist you with information regarding day trips and she can book these for you should you be interested. The Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate provides a wonderful environment in which to take walks, do birding and take short game drives. There are a number of trails marked out on the estate that can be walked or cycled. Hides at the dams of the estate also provide good game viewing and birding opportunities.
