The Black Pearl is a stunning character house located in the heart of the vibrant and arty Muizenberg Village, offering guests spacious and comfortable self-catering accommodation ideal for families or groups of friends or digital nomads looking for a private, interesting and exclusive 'home from home' on a quiet but colourful street within a few minutes walking distance of the Muizenberg beach and the famous Surfers Corner -- regularly referenced as one of the best places to learn to surf in the world. The house is a stylishly decorated, fully equipped double-storey character home. With stripped wooden floors throughout, there are 3 spacious bedrooms (each with two single beds that can either be connected as a King-size bed or separated into 2 single beds) and 2 large bathrooms. The open-plan lounge with working fireplace connects to an alfresco dining area on one side and a designer kitchen with entertainment deck, Italian-style courtyard, outside rain shower and stunning mountain views on the other. There are braai and barbecue facilities in the courtyard and a laundry room with a large top loader. The house is within five minutes walking distance of everything you could possibly need including the Muizenberg train station, over 30 different restaurants and coffee shops, a large supermarket, pharmacy, a veterinary practice, clinic, doctors and dentist rooms, a pub, a butchery, and lots of other craft and gift shops. There are also at least six surf emporiums that offer surfing lessons as well as board and wetsuit hire. There is plenty of safe on-street parking in the village area although you don't need to hire a car as everything you need is within walking distance. The Muizenberg train station is five mins away and there are plenty of Uber and other taxi drivers in the area that you can call within minutes.

Defined by its quaint original Victorian semi’s, Muizenberg Village is such a well kept secret, that many Muizenberg residents don’t even know that it exists. The village is very community orientated and populated with artists, writers and creative types lending an arty atmosphere to the area. Some homes have been turned into gallery and creative studio spaces, adding further to the creative atmosphere. 'The Black Pearl' is also five minutes walk away for the Blue Bird Garage Food & Goods Market which takes place every Thursday and Friday night in a beautiful old postal plane hangar on the edge of this magical urban village which looks and feels very much like San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury suburb which draws a lively, diverse crowd looking to soak up the historic hippie vibe.
