Enjoy mountain views and nature at its best on our small sustainable farm located in the beautiful town of Hoekwil that offers a great base to exploring the world renowned Garden Route! Our little farm uses permaculture methods(biological and sustainable ways of farming) to increase soil health, animal health and human health. Guests have the option of purchasing seasonal vegetables and fruits as well as some world class sourdough breads(on request before arrival or on site) We also have a small fine arts gallery There are a few walking trails trough the forest that guests can explore as well as a picnic area down next to the forest dam. You can have a swim in the dam or in our pool located in front of the property. Guests are welcome to explore the permaculture garden seeing how many different varieties of fruit, berries and nuts they can spot. We also do guided tours of our gardens if guests would like to learn more about Permaculture and sustainable farming/gardening methods(more info on request) Excellent birding opportunities presents itself here. We have 2 dogs, some chickens, a visiting horse from time to time and Muscovy ducks, all very friendly and great with the kids.

Our property is part of the little village of Hoekwil close to Wilderness,,in the Garden Route. Hoekwil has a small shop with great coffee, cakes and light meals which can be enjoyed outside on the veranda. There are also 3 licensed restaurants which offer lunches and dinners. The village is quaint and can be explored by foot. There are a few beautiful national parks (Woodville Big Tree NP, Wilderness National park) in the area that offer spectacular walks and bird watching. The area is host to many outdoor activities which include hiking, abseiling, canyoning, paragliding, surfing, snorkeling, horse riding, canoeing, long beach walks and fantastic sunsets. We are located 10km away from a vibrant touristic village called Wilderness which is located right beside the Indian ocean and boasts beautiful unspoiled beaches which stretch for miles. Here you can enjoy fine dining from a selection of restaurants offering anything from Continental and Italian to South African cuisine. Live music can normally be found in one of the bars/restaurants. Further afield lie the towns of Sedgefield, Knysna and George which offer many sights and sounds to explore, each with its own unique character.
