Vensterklip is an oasis in a wildernis, situated on the banks of the Verlorenvlei, a bird paradise. It's a farm stead dating back to the 1800's, with beautifully restored farm houses in which we have our accommodation units, a barn that houses the restaurant, campsites overlooking the Verlorenvlei marsh and a farm stall on the premise. The rustique character througout the 300 year old buildings, built with clay and straw, antique furniture and collectables invites every guest to explore, taste and experience the old world atmosphere created by time and nature. Relax in our restaurant and enjoy the lovely food made with love and served by our friendly staff. Vensterklip has plush gardens chirping with wild birds. Medicine for the tired pilgrim!

Jane has been in hospitality for almost 30 years, starting in Saldanha with the famous Jane's Guest House. She's also is the owner of Die Sandveld Dorpshuys in Redelinghuys. Jane's heart is that her job is her worship. Her artistic touch is seen in the interiors and all over Vensterklip. She loves cooking around the fire place, baking bread, reading and sewing. She is passionate about her faith and also serves as a missionary in Africa.

Vensterklip is only 5 km from Elands bay - a small surfers mecca on the Atlantic! Explore caves with Khoi-San rock paintings, visit the museum and go for long walks on our beautiful beach. We are central to many small villages such as the picturesque artist town of Redelinghuys. Explore the beauty of the Verlorenvlei on the R366 where flamingos and pelicans are bountiful amongst many other species.
