Company information

We love meeting our guests and do our best to make you comfortable and appreciated. We share our love for, and experiences in, the west coast - especially restaurants and local "must-sees". Although we only arrived in Jacobsbaai permanently in May 2020, we have been visiting the west coast from our previous home on the east coast of KZN for over 40 years. Ben is a petrol-head and fellow motor enthusiasts will love his collection of racing cars and other memorabilia. Roz has worked in industry & higher education and enjoys sharing entrepreneurship and personal development knowledge.

Property information

West Coast Shores guest suites and the OppieBaai BraaiKamer are located across two adjacent homesteads in a quiet cul-de-sac - one next to the beach, and one is a row back from the beach. The homesteads both conform to the architectural design of the town and comprise white walls and thatched "cores" with flat decks in between, adding to the feel of many smaller dwellings in a village environment. All fittings, decor and amenities have been carefully selected to provide a luxurious but comfortable visit.

Neighbourhood information

Jacobsbaai is a small west coast town - established in the early 1980's. There are now about 400 houses, with more owners choosing to live here permanently. It is well situated to visit over 20 small west coast towns within a hours' drive. The town has strong building guidelines which give it a unique appearance. West Coast Shores is located in the southern 'tail' of the town - away from the old town. This area is known as Moeries se Baai and has the most beautiful and secluded bay. Please note - although Jacobsbaai has a superette, a deli and few great restaurants, it has no fuel station or banking facilities. Nearest towns are Vredenburg and Saldanha (both about 15km away). You will need your own transport - there is no public transport or Uber.
