The room is very nice and comfy. Bathroom is spacious to move around. We had to leave early before breakfast time, and the owner were willing to make sausage sandwiches for us before leaving. It's very generous and delicious!

The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. The food was delicious too and the pub is set in a lovely quiet location (although a car is a must). The room was lovely and clean. We had a wonderful stay and I would not hesitate to return.

Rob was very welcoming when we arrived, letting us know that the pub was closed that evening but he offered us free drinks to say sorry. Couldn’t have been a better host. The second night we were lucky enough to have an amazing dinner on site.

We stayed at the Stuart House (standard double room) that belonged to The Bell. It's a 2-3 min walk from The Bell Inn. (yes, it's clear in the name of the room if you're staying at the inn (The Bell) or at the separate building/house, aka Stuart House). The room was meticulously clean, beautiful and cozy, the bed comfortable. Big, clean, lovely bathroom. The water pressure is not the best but I think that's more of a Cotswolds thing (or so it seemed to us in the many other villages and hotels we stayed at in the Cotswolds). The breakfast was delicious and very generous: a selection of different cooked breakfast, including Full English Breakfast but also other options, and while you waited on your order (which came out the kitchen quite quickly), you could have toast, croissants, jams, granola (different types), Marmite (!! I wanted to try it but didn't want to buy a whole jar...so this was a great opportunity! It's terrible but you gotta try it, it's very a very English thing to try! Lol), etc! The service at check-in was prompt (you just go to the pub and ask someone to check you in...), when I needed extra stuff the staff was super helpful and quick! Yes, they were busy with the gazillion other things going on in the pub (which some people may misunderstand for rudeness) and yet they sorted out anything I needed help with promptly and nicely. We also had the Sunday roast when we arrived - delicious (although I should have asked for a better knife than the provided butter knife). The restaurant part seemed busy so it's worth booking ahead .. Parking: Stuart House has its own private (but included in price) parking just by the rooms in a big courtyard. It would be nice if everyone was considerate and parked closely to each other to make room for everyone.

The pub itself is simply gorgeous with an elegant, traditional, and very cosy atmosphere. It is enchanting and feels like a little haven of peace and is homey. All the staff is excellent at what they do, and very friendly. Special mention to Nathalie who gave us valuable tips to explore the region and took the time to chat with us. Richard at the restaurant was super welcoming and attentive, and Mandy made us feel at home from the start with her radiant smile. We will definitely come back !!! Thank you for everything !!

What a great location in a beautiful town. Free parking out the back of the hotel was a bonus. We were able to wander around the town and if we needed to go back to the room it was right there. Dinner & drinks in the hotel before going for a walk through the town once everybody had gone home, yet never more than a couple of hundred of metres from the hotel. Very helpful staff. Couldn't fault the place.
