I really loved staying at the Lion Inn — the place is charming, with a perfect English style. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices from sweet to salty!

The room was spacious but cozy, it was light and airy and immaculate. The bathroom was modern with a great shower. The oversized bed was very comfortable with lovely soft bedding which made a nice change from the usual starchy bedding you tend to get in hotels. There is no tv in the room which wasn’t a problem for us - it was actually quite refreshing! The pub underneath was quirky with a fab atmosphere and served a great range of drinks from the brewery. The couple that run the pub and hotel were so welcoming and friendly and made our stay a very pleasant one. The location is perfect for the town near to a variety of restaurants and shops.

Great location, perfect cottage ground floor rooms in a little courtyard with table and chairs, so our friends in adjoining rooms could sit out and have a cup of tea with us. Comfortable beds, well furnished and decorated beautifully, tea & coffee facilities and toiletries provided in the bathroom.
