The property is a newly renovated boutique hotel owned and operated by Irina and her family. They were very kind and accommodating. The best part of our apartment was the massive balcony that was great for relaxing after a beach day. Right beside the building there is a grocery store and a bakery. The property is a 5 min walk away from the beach front walk way. However, it is important to note that Herceg Novi is very hilly and that distance in the city can be very misleading. Ancora Hotel is about 50 meters away from the beach and we agreed we wouldn’t pick a property any further into the hill than 50 meters. Also, the property is about a 15 minute walk from the old town and all of the hustle and bustle.

It is in excellent condition, both the bathroom and the room, which is of good size. The room has a refrigerator and a cattle - much appreciated. The staff are super friendly. The location is central in Blato, just a short drive from Vela Luka. The parking is along the street (sometimes busy as it is free) and just across the street (payable between 7 am and 8 pm, always available and not expensive - 1.2 EUR per hour or 12 EUR a day). A grocery shop is next door to the hotel. This accommodation is really good value for money. We were very happy. If you are looking for a hotel with a sea view, this is obviously not the place, but if you are exploring Korčula and you need a nice place to stay, at a super reasonable price at the peak of the season, this is it.

I had a wonderful stay! The place was cozy and comfortable, exactly what I needed for a relaxing break. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering great tips to help us explore the city. Highly recommend staying here!

The food is regional and outstanding and they also have a great selection of local wines, most of them they produce themselves. We stayed there for our first night after arriving in Albania and decided to come back later during the trip, as everything was excellent.
