The family Grampelhuber were wonderful hosts. Mom, Dad, two sons, two daughter (in law), and two grandchildren, along with a fine and attentive staff. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was outstanding. Music filled the house. We will long look on our Austrian visit to Bad Goisern and Steegwirt fondly.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful penthouse apartment situated on the bank of a serene lake. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning view of the surrounding mountains. The interior of the apartment was just as impressive, with modern furnishings and tasteful decor creating a comfortable and stylish space. One of the standout features of the penthouse was the large windows, which let in an abundance of natural light and allowed me to enjoy the breathtaking views from the comfort of the living room. I spent hours gazing out at the tranquil lake and majestic mountains beyond, feeling completely at ease and relaxed. The apartment was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable bedding. I appreciated the attention to detail that had gone into ensuring my stay was as comfortable as possible. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the penthouse apartment on the bank of the lake. The combination of stunning views, modern amenities, and comfortable furnishings made for a truly memorable experience. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious retreat in a beautiful natural setting.

In a historic building from the 15th century in the centre of Hallstatt, Pension Simony offers panoramic views of Lake Hallstatt and the surrounding mountains. It provides free WiFi in public areas. This place really exceeded my expectations The rooms were clean and quite spacious. The stairs were a bit creeky, but for me added to the experience of staying at a 150 year old hotel. Staff were really nice! Strongly recommend to solo travelers who are used to shared bathrooms!

The location is really good, 3 minutes to the lake and 2 minutes from the bus station. There is a very beautiful and safe path for walking and cycling around the lake. The service, food and the crew are also great! 😃👍🏻

I’m giving 10 out of 10 for everything because of the value for money. I am fully aware, you can find more luxurious accommodation and so on... What I liked was that the price matched the level of equipment and everything was comfortable. The place is great. The supermarket is next to the building, and a few restaurants and pubs are within a 5–10 minute walk. The surroundings are nice for walks in nature. And what is great: there is a tram connection to Gmunden. The journey is nice to watch through the windows. And the owners – they are super friendly. At first I wanted to stay only for one night as I was traveling on the motorbike, but in the end I stayed one extra day thanks to all the positives of this place. And my plan is to come back with my girlfriend in the near future.
