The proprietors, our room, the food, Gary the hostess (fantastic!!), the church bells and the views of the Alps were all incredible! The bakery, grocery store across the street was fabulous when opened. It was not opened everyday. This was a true swiss Alps village away from the city and on a vast beautiful mountain range with cows, and horses and beautiful chalets and the people! It was about 20 minutes down a windy road into Interlarken. Perfect location. We had a car but used the bus pass that the hotel gave us which was extremely helpful. We give this place a 15 out of 10 stars. It was just perfect in every way for a small village. Highly recommended

The room is exceptional with a comfy bed, pillow and blanket. There's no air conditioning in the room but it's occupied with a fan and won't be hot even though it's summer. Kitchen facility is sufficient including microwave, stove, fridge and utensils. Check in time is late 16:30 and if intended to check in earlier, guest are invited to go to another hotel for a check in procedure (400m).

This hotel is situated 200 metres from Lake Thun and close to the Beatus Caves. The host ( a sweet couple) were amazing. We would not thank them enough. During our stay ,we had a medical issue and one if them offered to drive us to the nearest pharmacy. Since we had missed the breakfast time slot, they then prepared a late breakfast for us. They are both genuine and friendly. A sincere thank you from Malta

Set in a building from 1706, the Baeren Hotel, The Bear Inn in Wilderswil offers traditionally furnished rooms with private bathrooms. Great location close to attractions. Very authentic and the view from the balcony is worth the mile.
