The room was cozy, clean, and full of character, exactly what you'd hope for in a small, lakeside hotel. What really made it special, though, was the view. Waking up to look out over Lake Lugano, with the mountains framing the water and the quiet little village of Gandria below, was something we won’t forget. The location is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful retreat that's still close to everything. It's just a short drive or boat ride to Lugano, and you're right near the Italian border too, which made day trips really easy. Gandria itself is tiny, charming, and full of atmosphere. Wandering its narrow lanes felt like stepping back in time. We also loved the slower pace and quiet evenings here. It was the kind of place where you can actually hear the lake. Highly recommend if you're after a mix of comfort, scenery, and a real sense of place.

Rooms offer traditional wooden furnishings and feature TVs, minibars and fans. Bathrooms include marble floors and toiletries. The property is literally at the bus stop and water ferry yet we heard no noise from the street. The restaurant is highly rated so we tried it the first night and returned the second as well. They provided stand fans in the room which was greatly appreciated. The view from the room and hotel are wonderful.

Every room has a private bathroom equipped with a shower and a hairdryer, while certain rooms here will provide you with a kitchen fitted with a fridge. At the inn all rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Fantastic place. For sure simpler than a big name hotel but super friendly, clean and comfortable. For me it was the perfect place to stay in a beautiful area. Super happy.
