When my Uber dropped me off here, he said that I would enjoy the neighborhood since it was safe and quiet. He was right! The moment I walked in I felt like I was in a sanctuary. This is one of the best hostels that I have stayed in this month. The kitchen is well appointed and the vibe is immaculate! If you stay here, use the space they have set aside for meditation. Brilliant!

The Hostal is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood in Cerro Playa Ancha. I liked it very much. It’s easy to get to the city centre as buses and cars stops just outside. Also nice to take a walk to the city centre passing el paseo 21 de mayo(takes about 30 minutes). The hosts and staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Located 750 metres from the shore, on the Yungay Hill, Hostal Maison de la Mer offers budget rooms with free WiFi. Neruda’s house is a 5-minute walk away. super friendly staff. we were greeted by Jonathon who gave us loads of tips on what to do. liked the wooden terrace out the back where you can eat food that you’ve prepared in the kitchen. hot water was nice and bed was comfortable

Set in a house with 19th century architectural style Blest Gana has rooms with free Wi-Fi only a 20-minute walk from the beach. The main bus station is a 5-minute walk. Great place, highly recommended. The breakfast is brought directly to your room, which had never happened to me before, and is also quite large. It almost didn't fit on the table! The room was fine, but most of all the location was perfect. Just five minutes walk from the bus station, five minutes walk from the train station, and ten minutes walk from the city centre. If you arrive late at night, there are even some nearby places to find food, which is not common in this part of town. The staff was very helpful and had no troubles allowing me to leave my luggage for some hours after checkout. In general, a fantastic experience. I saw some negative reviews before booking, but I'm very happy to confirm that they were completely wrong.
