We had an excellent time staying with German, Sara and Calet. The location is great, as it allows you to explore the Amazon (both the river and the jungle) with the tours offered with ease. Before we arrived Calet was very helpful by providing us information about the tours possible and advising us on what we need to bring. Botas impermeables were provided, meaning we did not have to pack and bring them ourselves.
The property is very clean and comfortable, and there is electricity and Wi-Fi at the property from about mid morning to 12pm. Sara cooked delicious local food for us for all three meals which were excellent value for money.
There was a lot of flexibility with the activities we wanted to do, and we were able to do everything we wanted, including seeing the pink dolphins. It was also nice to stay somewhere where it is clear your money is going directly to support both a family, and the surrounding community.
We had an amazing time staying here and would recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at La Cieba. My family of five were very well looked after and Clara and staff were very helpful.. We are three lunches and dinners during our stay, and all meals were freshly cooked and very tasty. A lovely setting right in the heart of the Amazon. Accommodation is clean, and well appointed for tours. We had a fabulous time dolphin spotting. A separate trip to Peru to look for sloths was wonderful too. We also enjoyed a very pleasant few hours kayaking on the river. Would thoroughly recommend La Cieba
Eware is a wonderful spot from which to discover the Amazon. A few minutes by boat from Puerto Narino (always facilitated by the hosts at their expense), with a swimming pool and possibility to have lunch and dinner in the hostel’s restaurant. We stayed at a cabin, which was private and comfortable. The hosts were kind and flexible always ready to help. Great tours with local guides.
We loved the pools and the air conditioning - both very refreshing after being in the heat of the rainforest. The owner tries really hard to make you happy. He is very friendly. He was able to take us in his van into town and to pick up/drop off at the airport. They also have bottled water/drinks to purchase, breakfast included, and dinner. There is a TV in the room with streaming. The room itself was very spacious.
The room had an amazing view right by the Amazon River. Plus, the food was delicious! The kitchen crew always worked hard to whip up super tasty meals, especially during lunch and dinner.
Our own room and bathroom. We stayed twice, once at beginning of Amazon and end. Second room much better with air con.
Maricela was the perfect host. She was very kind and helped us with everything, including managing to order dinner. She even took me on her motor bike to get pizza.
Our experience at Waira was great. My husband and I came with my parents to the Amazon, did some day tours, and it was lovely to come back to a clean, cool hotel room and nice shower after being in the heat all day. We also ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner a couple of nights, and the food and service were excellent. It was nice to have a good restaurant right in the hotel when we were exhausted from our excursions.
Lovely location, basic rooms/facilities but sufficient for a few days stay. Great swimming pool that helped with the heat. Breakfast was lovely and we paid extra for dinner and evening meals, all prices were very cheap. They offered lots of tours although our Spanish is not good enough to take advantage of them. They currently have a Manatee in their lake rehabilitating and will be released back into the Amazon in June :-) The town is accessible by boat or 30 minute walk in Wellies
